Rant to anonymous ;-)

"Should I infer from that you believe ionic colloidal silver to be unnatural? ;-)"
Well certainly not part of my natural defences, if it has to be administered ;-)

"Nope, we're still at an impasse here matey unless you agree all matter is conscious! Pre-programmed genes can only react, not respond unless you concede they have the ability to think? "
Not matter necessarily, but cell's yes, although think would be too strong a word, they are certainly aware of their environment and they interact with other cell's, cell's can and do react and respond

"LoL, I forgot to answer this before... the simplest explanation is that there are life-forms which travel faster than is perceivable to the human eye"
I'm not sure that is the simplest answer ;-)

Thanks for the vid link, Michio Kaku appears to be talking about both string theory, and the many worlds interpretation of reality, string theory is extremely dubious, and is falling apart but Michio Kaku is still a big fan of it, the many worlds interpretation of reality, actually he is mixing up both the Copenhagen, and the many worlds interpretation, not one of his finest moments ;-), I would have been spanking him for that, but the interviewer seemed unaware of this mistake

The great bewildering conundrum that Icke says scientists have about atoms not being solid, isn't true atoms are not solid but you don't actually touch atoms you touch the force the atom produces, atoms do not exist as such there is only energy and force, and in the same way you cannot push two positive magnets together you can not stick your finger through a wall for exactly-ish the same reasons, the opposing force will stop this from happening the force surrounding the atom is solid, which is why you're not at the centre of this planet ;-)

As for the radio waves the universe itself pollutes all frequencies, de-tune your radio and you can hear it ;-)

Rant to anonymous

"Hahaha, yeah, man-flu can kill ya *chuckle* You should look into ionic colloidal silver, you might be surprised what it can aid."

I'll just let my natural defences take care of it, otherwise my natural defences might start getting bored,I've still got lots of snot in me, and my talke type is struggling, but I'm almost over it ;-)

> Long and boring story about the name/ tag ;-)

"I have time ;-)"
You asked for it, a long time ago when dinosaurs ruled the earth, and 56K modems were the latest must have gadget, I stumbled across a free online game called air attack Second World War flight simulator, which was developed years before for the newly emerging virtual reality headsets, before they realised that most people became seasick using them, anyway the game itself was a work of genius, they've obviously spent lots of time and money developing it, visually the game wasn't that good, standard at the time medium to low quality 3-D vector stuff, but the gameplay was spot on, they'd obviously used real pilots to tweak it, it had two versions real and arcade, nobody played the real version, turn to fast dive too fast and the wings came off,  the arcade version still played like a very decent real flight simulator, without the handicap of your wings falling off even if you did physically impossible stuff, the planes themselves flew stall turned and so on like they should, and if you hadn't previously used a simulater or flown a real plane, these things were pretty difficult to control, flaps percentage and all that, anyway the planes British American German and Soviet, two of each, so for the British Spitfire and hurricane, there were two main arenas free for all and teams, teams being you only shot at opposing teams British versus German American Soviet, and so on, free for all was you Vs everybody else, which usually meant a big furball of planes sometimes up to 50 in the centre of the arena, anyhow each plane had the pilots an rank displayed above the plane, and when I started I used my real name, as newbies do, and I was getting shot down like a thing that gets shot down a lot, it didn't take long to work out why, so I needed a name, something that sounded slightly threatening, anyhow the television was on in the background there was a film The Eagle Has Landed and just as I was trying to think of a name to type in, the words mr devilin were shouted by a girl in the film, thus devilin was born, there was a chat room with a lot of Mickey taking, especially by the British against the Americans, there was a sizeable number of RAF people in this game, now the scores for the top kill ratios were displayed once you exited the game, and it wasn't long before I was always number one, and the Americans weren't happy about this, and after a few weeks of getting called names I decided to drop my normal humble persona and start winding these Americans up, the British and others mostly got it, it was just a windup, but the Americans just didn't understand and took it entirely seriously, it all went a bit too far and I ended up with a fan club, I certainly wasn't the best I could think of the least 4 people that were technically better than me, but they tended not to go into the furball preferring the 1 on 1 stuff near the edge of the arenas, and they were mostly British or European, I did enjoy the 1 on 1 stuff but it could take 15 minutes for 1 kill but the furball oh-my it was beautiful and I reveled in the chaos of it ;-)

" The thing I found most surprising and disturbing, was how little I actually thought about things, and how much was preprogrammed responses

Seems we have a lexical misunderstanding, lack of thought leads to pre-programmed reactions, thought leads to a response (re-act = to do again – re-spond = to pledge again, and a pledge implies thought has occurred)."

Apart from the preprogrammed genetic response stuff of which there is more than you can imagine, it's the self-programmed repeat stuff I found most disturbing, the routines that little routines you end up doing without realising you're doing them and the satisfaction one can get through endlessly repeating what you have done before

have fun ;-)

Rant to anonymous

Well I have been known to troll on the odd occasion from time to time, I'm sure you do yourself, unfortunately he didn't bite, which shows he's not completely daft ;-)
he is also a fan of black adder ;-) anybody that says Queenie instead of Queen, usually is

http://www.roswellrods.com/   ?

A friend of mine said the other day that us trying to understand the universe is not un-similar to a cat trying to understand a jumbo jet, another cat might think he knows the answers, but it is extremely doubtful he knows any more than any other cat, ickey is just another cat who thinks he knows the answers

"All I know is that there is more in heaven and earth Horatio than is even dreamt of in your philosophy *chuckle* And I don't even know if I know that ROFL"
Then you know more than ickey, understanding our own limitations, brings a rather amusing revelation about the limitations of others ;-)

X-Files back in the early 90's "Trust no one, believe nothing, deny everything

The Simpsons bart "I didn't do, it nobody saw me do it, you can't prove anything" ;-)

Danny & Cveitch excellent vids I especially liked the one with the marching band, trying to make them smile :-)

"Debate is a wonderful tool. I made the mistake of living my life up to the age of 42 " 42 the answer to everything deep thought hitchhikers guide ;-)

The psychological aspect of ego is quite amusing, one's beliefs are an integral part of one's personality, attack the beliefs, and a person will consider it tantamount to a personal physical attack upon themselves, and will act accordingly, the emotional attachment is quite real, you attaching yourself to ickey's believes and making them your own, beetzart77 attacking ickey thus your believes, and you wishing to retaliate, can you see this ?

I have taken a good hard look at myself, to understand the motivations behind my actions, I didn't like what I found, but I believe it is a journey we must all take

Have fun ;-)

ROFL

"YOU ARE WRONG SIR!!!"
Undoubtedly about a great many things, sacred geometry ? the massive hexagon in Saturns atmosphere ? Pi or π irrational number, I've often wondered if before reaching infinity, would the irrational numbers go completely bonkers and start a anarchistic revolution ? mathematics is an abstract it's not real, it's a man-made mechanism/idea to help described thing's, and it can be incredibly accurate, although this is not to say it is an entirely accurate reflection of the universe we live in, diminishing returns in certainty in higher mathematics lead me to the conclusion I have made, although I do not doubt the accuracy in euclidean geometry to determine relative positions in 3+1 space, this is not to say I accept mathematics as a entirely accurate totality

"(8 is twice the size of 4). Please tell me you see what I mean and am right! LoL" yes I see what you mean, no you ain't right ;-) say you have 4 bananas, what is 4 bananas ? each banana is different, so you ignore the differences and stick them in a group called 4 bananas, you've ignored reality and created an artificial reality to express the meaning of 4 bananas, if you had  8 bananas would this be twice as much as 4 bananas ?, only if again you ignore reality to create an artificial group called 8 bananas, in reality there is only a banana and another distinctly different banana an so on, creating artificial groups is an entirely human process, to help us understand the universe we live in, although this is not to say it is an entirely accurate reflection of the universe we live in, or maybe you are correct and I've just gone bananas ;-)

"Back to the other stuff, you put a lot of faith in the LHC it appears but then do concede it will create more questions than it answers. Personally I'm not convinced individuated particles actually exist, and am ALMOST certain the "graviton" or "Higgs Boson particle" will not be found... of course I will be happy to retract and adapt my opinion upon it's discovery! ;-)"

There is a growing movement amongst physicists that gravity doesn't actually exist as such, and I am also starting to subscribe to this idea, wait a sec "gravity doesn't actually exist as such" no I haven't gone completely mad you have 4 fundamental forces, a growing number of physicists believe there are only 3, the fourth gravity is simply a consequence of rather than an independent force by itself, the graviton seems highly unlikely, Higgs Boson also looks quite doubtful, "I'm not convinced individuated particles actually exist" nor am I ;-)

"Where does the unique perspective of "I" derive from in man?" or in computers once they become aware ;-) resistance is futile

"you seem to be insistent that physical and mental processes are the same" yep ;-)
" but it does NOT make the probes or helmet cognition ITSELF"  nope ;-)
But it does show a directly linked cause-and-effect ;-)

"copied digitally" is the RESULT of the mechanism and not the mechanism itself. The conscious "I" we think of is an accumulation of experience - an ego, persona or personality, moulded by our environment (be it internal genetics or external events), and it is this which perhaps can be "copied"

You ten years ago is not you now, but is that you ten years ago still you ?

"Are you SURE not everybody has a voice in their head" yep

"hole" instead of "whole" (a Freudian slip perhaps *chuckle*). In the last few years I've come to the opinion that the English language has been deliberately manipulated since at least the 1600's with an INTENT to deceive. The words hole and whole are a perfect example. Why would two words which SOUND IDENTICAL effectively have opposite meanings? Whole=all encompassing, Hole=vacuous lacking, so when said verbally without context they can not be differentiated between... now what idiot didn't spot that and get rid of one of the meanings... unless it's deliberate obfuscation..."

I'm dyslexic, I cannot visualise words, so I use talk-type, thus the mistake, this possibly might be not un-similar for people without the internal voice, perhaps that part of their brain simply isn't working ? same kinda thing for colourblind people ?

"deliberate obfuscation" perhaps ;-)

"color of law, it gets a bit mind spanking doesn't it!," the colour of Magic ;-) sure does

"ROFL, "10 To the power of 32 years the universe will end, approximately tea time", reminds me of the late great Douglas Adams :-)" I cannot visualise words to spell them, yet my ability to read is mostly unimpaired, I am a prolific reader, Douglas Adams the hitchhiker's guide to the universe, was the first book I purchased ;-)

"Seeee, this is why I no longer wish to engage my ego, I no longer wish to reason and rationalise, what purpose does any of it serve? What's the point? I don't even know what "fun" IS, let alone experience any!!!"

Fun is the opposite of being miserable, one needs to experience the misery to enjoy the fun, as one needs to taste the bitter to appreciate the sweet, a truly enlightened mind realises both are illusionary but truly enlightened mind's tend not to get down with their bad self's, and miss out on all the beer and ladies ROFL ;-)

Why ? because it's there, a undiscovered country waiting to be explored

Have fun ;-)

Re

"Re the leaf vid, bloody genius mate!"
I've always been lucky like that and I simply accept it as is, I'm certainly no genius

 "cogito ergo sum"
"Je pense, donc je suis"
I'm pink, therefore I'm spam
Although we come someway since then, we now have 1+1=2,  via Principia Mathematica, the vast majority of people will simply accept that 1+1=2 without asking why ?
There is some other stuff we've worked out as well, but nothing so substantial it's worth mentioning
The Large Hadron Collider, may start answering some fundamental questions, although I find it more likely it will end up asking more questions than it answers, the main question it may answer is what is reality ? hopefully it can answer this before the world Ends in 2012 ;-)

"I think what we perceive as contradictions are in fact merely misinterpretations of a coherent model"
The mathematics at the moment tell us 11 dimensions, and we can't think in 11 dimensions, we can barely think in 3+1

"logically one thing cannot be in two places at once". If I take the number one and divide it by two I have two halves, identical in every way, coexisting. Now we can say that each half is "individual" and continue to divide one half again by two whilst not doing so with the other (a half and two quarters). But because we are able to manipulate one half without manipulating the other (effectively confirming the individuality of one half) does this then mean the two halves are not still part of a greater whole (1) which therefore can be in two places at the same time? "

Ekkkk where to start, mathematics is an abstract it's not real, it's a man-made mechanism/idea to help described thing's, and it like logic tends to fall apart once it becomes complex, so you have one imaginary thing and divide it by two, then you have two imaginary things, if you tried doing this with a real thing like an atom it would blow up in your face boom! although you can't actually split and atom, you could split a photon, but until The Large Hadron Collider sorts out what reality is, we just don't know what's really going on

"there is no matter only mind"
There is no matter only energy ;-) oh never mind

"if I am myopic and place a pair of glasses on my face then I can see further, but just because the glasses improve my vision does not make them the same as my eyes, just a facilitator or augmenter of sight"

Your eyes see nothing, your brain interprets information from the optic nerves and create a model inside your brain, glasses focus photons which hit your optic nerves ;-)

And by sticking chips in guinea pigs/volunteers brain's they can make the blind see

There are numerous ways of changing how your brain works which will change your conscious perception, the two are absolutely linked and there is substantial empirical evidence backing this up, they could stick probes in your brain and make you hungry thirsty happy sad all via external stimulus, I can understand why you'd like to consider a separation between physical and mental processes, but the evidence is quite overwhelming, they are the same thing, there are gaps nevertheless which you might cling too, but these gaps are getting smaller every day as advances in neuroscience continue every day, soz

And they are already working on copying consciousness digitally, and they are some might say disturbingly advanced in this field

Thanks for the link, yes I remember seeing this some time ago, certainly worth another watch

"When you question which half of the mind is the definitive "true individual" I would have to say neither. Currently I perceive ALL my "mind" as "ego" and I do not believe I am my ego/mind. "Consciousness" is one of the hardest concepts to define and different schools of thought define it differently. I am reluctant to say that the "narrator" or "voice in my head" is my "consciousness". It may have awareness, and the "enlightened mind" may be aware of itself (ego witnessing itself giving rise to the phrase "self aware") but it is not "me". I feel that my mind/ego is a programmed construct of experience which upon death disappears back into the aether having served it's purpose of witnessing a unique path for the "oneness" or "IS-ness"."

the "narrator" surprisingly not everybody has a narrator

Sounds quite Buddhist, and you could be right, there are still gaps big enough at the moment for this to be possible

"suffice it to say I currently believe the UNDERLYING principle to "reality" is vibration... okay, so call me a hippie *chuckle*"

Bet you've got some crystals, yar Hippie ;-)
Personally I'll leave this as unknown until The Large Hadron Collider comes up with something definitive

"Does entanglement theory not mean we are all ultimately part of "oneness"?"

Errrr nope ish ;-) maybe, Errrrr don't know

If you entangle particles, they remain entangled until entangled by another particle/particles, and particles are flipping between energy and mass all the time so new ish unentangled particles are being created/converted all the time, so, I don't know ;-)

The hole Entanglement thing takes my mind to places were my mind cannot cope

"meaningless musings" indeed in 10 To the power of 32 years the universe will end, approximately tea time, the odds of our species surviving and becoming technologically advanced enough to survive this are so close to zero that it makes no odds, we are done-for, but in the meantime there's plenty of beer so it's not so bad ;-)

"...At least I've avoided drinking tap water since 2001 and distil my own! *chuckle*"
Isn't drinking distilled water in itself harmful ?

Alex Jones, why am I thinking about Alex Jones ? ;-)

Have fun ;-)

"P.P.S. Loved the vid of the leaf. Yes it's faked"
Actually it was genuine, a spider's line, probably more than one was holding the leaf, quite unusual in the length of the spiders line/s but nevertheless quite natural, I had previously shown it to some friends and they all said faked, which is why I used it

"Socrates I know enough to know that I know nothing" the more we learn the less we know ;-)

"in quantum physics there are contradictions". Hmmm... If the model holds inherent contradictions then the model is flawed is it not? ""
Not necessarily, maybe the universe doesn't mind contradictions, we simply assume it does, and therefore we assume there should be none, standard logical models Syllogistic logic/ Modal logic/ Bullion logic/ first-order predicate logic/ and so on, (I haven't investigated all forms of logic there are many more) tend to work in absolute black and white terms, necessarily true or necessarily false with no middle ground (law of excluded middle) (with the exception of Fuzzy logic, there might be more) and no contradictions, now in quantum physics there are empirical contradictions, if it was just the maths this wouldn't be a problem, now to get your head spinning, the entire universe could be one single particle that is literally everywhere at once, now logically one thing cannot be in two places at the same time, but in quantum physics we have empirical evidence that it can, which is flawed ? reality, our understanding of reality ? or the tools we use to describe reality ?

"You are your ego" - LoL, not so sure about that sir! "Me, My-self and I... who are we?" *chuckle*. Personally I think Freud was a numpty, separating "ego" into further subdivisions, the simple "trinity" of mind, body and soul is adequate for my taste. ""

Freud was a numpty ;-) he certainly made many mistakes, but this we do know, your physical mind and your conscious are the same thing, if I gave you a hallucinogenic that would effect your physical mind, it would also effect your conscious mind, and if you damage your physical mind, then your conscious mind would be altered, using real-time 3-D mapping, we can see different parts of your brain becoming more or less active, your brainis quite literally split into two parts, with a small connection between them, cases where this connection has been severed, are quite interesting, subjects usually talk about having physical fights with themselves, in these cases which separated consciousness would you describe as the definitive true individual ?

Keep playing devil's advocate, with your conscious mind, whichever half that might be, and say hello to your subconscious for me ;-)

Kybalion Principle of Mentalism of Correspondence of Vibration of Polarity of Rhythm of Cause and Effect of Gender, it makes sense if you wish it to, but then again so does the Bible, the Koran, or any other book of its type

Their is certainly far more in this universe than is dreamt of in my philosophy Horatio, and I can confirm this from personal experience, which means there are vast gaps in my knowledge, books on spiritualism and such attempt to fill these gaps, with weighty words, some words carry a lot of psychological and emotional baggage it is hard not to be impressed or influenced by them, "Correspondence of Vibration" for example it is impressive is it not, although what does it actually mean ?, is it similar to the synchronised rhythmic homogenised throbbing of the invisible spaghetti Monsters knobbly appendages ? filling in the gaps of knowledge with knowledge is always the hard route that requires a great deal of effort, the easy route is spiritualism which requires little effort and will fill in all the gaps instantly

"Nice nattering" the pleasure is all mine

Have fun
